Clockwise from top: thrifted mosaic pin (handmade in Italy), a very thoughtful gift from Banana Republic many years back, thrifted dragonfly, vintage fish à la Haight Street, yet another thrifted Italian blessing, a lovely something inspired by an art nouveau Fabergé egg (quite embarassingly from the Met Museum Store) and something of a lie (as this green heart is definitely not a brooch)

My look at the IFB Soirée: H&M oversize shirt dress worn off the shoulder (a recently purchased bargain), Jiao Xiang rubber band and nut necklace (clever, so special, to die for!), coral colored necklace and bracelet from market in Beijing. * New Shoes New Room

On my quest to find slightly odd, well-crafted, beautiful and comfortable shoes, I found my answer literally waiting for me in a dark corner at Amalga (well manicured Soho boutique for rich rocker types). The shoes are from an Italian company called Marsell, apparently known for comfort and quality. I like how they’re on-trend yet anonymous. I also loved the super nice sales associates and custom made candy accessory to the purchase.
